<p>The photogravure printing press has a block cylinder against which a pressure device works. The latter has a continuous yoke with bearing shoes at the sides adjustable in guides in the housing, and a sleeve supported on the yoke by fluid pressure. The shoes (8) are adjusted by rams (10) and are supported on a threaded block (12) screwed onto a spindle (15) there being no self-locking action between the threads. The block is unable to turn on the yoke (6), while the spindle turns freely, and is prevented from doing so by a locking mechanism (19).</p> |
