The proposed fiber-optic antenna for receiving infrared signals contains a photodetector, a fiber lightguide with side lighting, and additionally, a laser transmitter and optical gates. The photodetector and the laser transmitter are arranged on different sides of the lightguide. The optical gates are arranged between the photodetector and the laser transmitter. For the purpose to increase the sensitivity of the antenna, the fiber lightguide is made of material that provides the generation of the anti-Stokes component of an infrared signal, such as alloyed quartz.
