Photocopier optics reducing space required - has two mirrors travelling different distances with one maintained across light path vertically in front of lens

A photocopier is such that the original is scanned by two mirrors moving at different speeds. The mirror (4) moving towards the lens (6) maintains an upright orientation with its bottom edge tracking in parallel to the lower plane of the optical path (20) of all the light rays (21) from the original (2). The copy paper stack (15) can be installed below the sliding plane of the mirror (4). This reduces the space required for the mirrors to move in leaving, e.g. more space for the copy paper stack.
