<p>Dress shield protecting a garment against a wearer's perspiration in the region where the sleeve joins the bodice portion comprises two crescent-shaped pieces of material joined together along the inner edges with which they are also fastened to the garment. The outer surfaces of the two pieces comprise absorbent plies of fibrous fleece or felt e.g. cellulose or paper, whilst an inner ply consists of a plastics film with a surface that will adhere to textiles or can be fastened to the garment by other means, e.g. stitching. The absorbent ply is edge-glued or -welded to the film which may later be perforated. It and/or the absorbent ply may contain a deodorant.</p> |
