PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for key switch arrays for detecting minimum tone, etc. by performing the processing of key touch information of the specified key region forming common timbres and the processing of key touch information such as of minimum tones, etc. of the specified key region forming separate timbres in a time sharing manner. CONSTITUTION:Key codes from matrix form key array 11 and key coder 14 are passed through a key region dividing circuit 15, where only the key codes of a high key range is processed and the musical tone waveforms of a common timbre are generated from a main tone generator part 12. On the other hand, the low region key codes are passed through a special play function processing circuit 17, where they are similarly processed by a sub-tone generator part 13, etc., whereby the musical tone waveforms of a common timbre are generated. When the minimum tone detecting circuit 20 of the circuit 17 detects the minimum tone codes from these low key region codes, the minimum tone codes having undergone time division processing in a time division circuit 22, selector 24, circuit 25 through OR circuit 21 in a rear- half of time slat are applied to a tone generator 19 for base and the musical tone waveforms of another timbre are formed with the simple constitution of not requiring key switches for detecting minimum tone. |
