Phenylaminothlophenessigsäuren der allgemeinen Formel I worin R¹ ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Chloratom, ein Bromatom oder eine Methylgruppe, R² eine -CH2-COOH-Gruppe oder eine -CH2-COOR<6>-Gruppe, R³ ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Halogenatom, eine Alkylgruppe, eine Alkoxygruppe oder eine Trifluormethylgruppe bedeuten, R<4> eine der Bedeutungen von R³ hat, R<5> ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Halogenatom oder eine Alkylgruppe, R<6> eine gegebenenfalls durch Hydroxy-, Hydroxyalkoxy- oder Alkanoyloxygruppen substituierte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen oder eine Benzylgruppe und n 1 oder 2 bedeuten, sowie die Salze der Säuren sind neue Verbindungen. Sie weisen eine hervorragende antiphlogistische, analgetische und antipyretische Wirksamkeit auf.
