METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECORATING THE BORDERS OF PLATES BY SCREEN PRINTING

The silk-screen decoration process is particularly for plates. The angle of inclination of the pattern cloth is formed only on a small portion of the circumference of the cloth near the scraper with the aid of a padded disc maintained in the inclined position by a roller on a scraper carrying spindle. Through this a pressure is continuously exerted on the padded disc supported by the pattern cloth as the scraper carrying spindle rotates. The scraper can easily follow the plate edge under the pressure from a ram actuated by compressed-air. This encloses the set of prings connected to the scraper, allowing it to oscillate in a vertical plane.
