<p>Vinyl floor or wall tile of thickness 1 DIVIDED 6 to 1 DIVIDED 8 in. is surfaced with a clear, durable wear layer of thickness 1 to 5 mil. The wear layer comprises urethane compound photo-polymerized from a solvent-free fluid coating composition having a volatility of at least 2 percent and comprising at least 2 photo- polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated groups of the general structure: <IMAGE> where R is either H or CH3. The wear layer is applied to a continuous sheet of vinyl composition travelling at a rate of at least about 80 ft./min. and cured by exposure to ultra- violet radiation at 110 DEG F to 220 DEG F.</p> |
