<p>PURPOSE:To readily perform searching of an arbitrary program surely with a simple construction by directly coupling a capstan to a speed changeable motor and changing over the motor to constant speed running by the tape position detecting signal during high speed running of a tape with a changeover means. CONSTITUTION:At the constant speed running operation of a tape such as at the recording and reproducing, a motor is run at a constant speed and the tape is pressure sandwiched by the capstan directly coupled to the motor and a pinch roller, whereby the tape is run at a constant speed. The revolutions of the motor revolve a take-up reel turntable through an idler, thereby taking up the tape. When a retrieval switch 186 is pushed in this state, the motor 136 is changed over to high speed running and the tape 186 is fed at a high speed. When a head 178 detects the blank part 190 between the program signals 192 such as of music of the tape, a motor control circuit 220 is reset to a constant speed control state by a detection circuit 194, causing the tape 188 to run again in a reproduction state.</p> |
