PURPOSE:To enhance desilvering speed and to eliminate side reaction, by adding a specified compound to a bleach fixing solution containing as an oxidant an aminopolycarboxylic acid complex salt of iron (III) in development processing of a silver halide color photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A bleach fixing solution containing preferably 50 to 200 g/liter of aminocarboxylic acid complex salt of iron (III) contains preferably 1X10<-2> to 5X10<-2> mole/liter of thioether compound of formula I in which X1 and X2 are OH, 1 to 4 C alkoxy, or amino of formula II (R3 and R4 are H or methyl); R1 and R2 are 2 to 4 C alkylene which may be substituted by OH or amino; and d is 1 to 3. This bleach fixing solution is preferably used at a pH of about 4.5 to 6.5 and at a temperarure of 20 to 60 deg.C. |
