The soil cultivation machine has a number of rotors on vertical axes and mechanically driven. Its frame has a rigid transverse section at right angles to the travel direction, in which more than twenty spindles for rotors are mounted in bearings alongside each other. The height and width of the frame section can be such as to make it self-supporting over a length of four metres at least. The rotors can be driven via gears alongside each other in a gearbox, which forms the rigid frame section.
