A method and a system for providing a personal information message service with an avatar are provided to enable the avatar of a receiver to store or display personal information such as an alarm, a message, a phone number, and an address to a receiver mobile terminal if a user stores the personal information to the avatar and transmits the avatar to the receiver mobile terminal. An avatar service server(130) provides the avatar to a sender mobile terminal(110) and provides location information requested from the user according to a schedule inputted from the user by linking with an LBS(Location-Based Service). The sender mobile terminal receives the personal information message service by receiving the personal information from the user, storing the personal information to the avatar, and transmitting the avatar to the receiver mobile terminal(112). The avatar service server automatically provides the location information on time requesting the location information by checking a location information request stored in the avatar.
