A hydraulic steering system including a damping valve is provided to install a check valve between a cap installed in a valve body and a support formed in the interior space of the valve body. A hydraulic steering system includes a damping valve. A check valve is installed in the interior of the damping valve to regulate the flow of a working fluid. The hydraulic steering system includes a valve body, a cap, and a disc. A support on which the check valve is positioned is formed in the interior space of the valve body. A backward flow passage is formed at the periphery of the support. The cap is engaged with the valve body to attach the check valve to the support. A forward flow passage is formed in the cap. The disc has a plate-like shape and is attached to the valve body by the cap to close the backward flow passage.
