发明名称 HEAT TRANSFER PRINTING METHOD AND PRINTING SHEET
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily produce a rolled plastic paper, which is excellent in wear resistance, by forming a printing sheet with a surface layer of a thermoplastic resin having a thermally shrinking property and by recessing a heat transfer unit. CONSTITUTION:A rolled plastic paper 11 such as a season ticket is composed of a plastic substrate 9, magnetic layers 10 on both sides of the substrate 9, and a thermally shrinking surface layer 8 of such a thermoplastic resin material as is porous, while having a thermal shrinkage, such as polyester, polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride having a thickness larger than a preset value. An ink transfer sheet 7, which is composed of a cellophane 5 having a preset thickness and an excellent thermal property and an ink layer 6 having a preset thickness, is pushed onto the layer 8 by a roller 12 and a thermally recordng head 1, which is equipped with electrodes 2a and 2b and a resistor 3, so that the resistor 3 is heated in accordance with the recording operation. The layer 8 facing the resistor 7 is shrinked because its internal bubbles are broken as a result of the melting operation and by the action of the pressure applied. As a result, the heat print is performed in ink in the recess 13 having a preset depth, which is formed in the layer. Since the printing surface is below the surface, a rolled paper having an excellent wear-resisting property can be produced.
