<p>Seal arrangement for fittings, such as ball cock, comprises a prim. seal of hard material, pref. metal, which is arranged inside a casing and cooperates with a mobile closing component. The prim. seal has, in that surface nearest the closing component, >=1 groove into which a wear-resistant sec. seal of elastomeric or flowable material is fitted. The sec. seal protrudes somewhat above the sealing surface of the prim. seal, i.e. 0.2-1 mm when not under load. The sec. seal is of PTFE.</p> |
