The high-vacuum electron radiation gun has a mouthpiece connected to a rotary printing cylinder in order to engrave it. The gun has at its end towards the cylinder (9) a rigid cover (1) with an opening for the electron rays (8). A flexible strip (6) is mounted on this cover, extending part-way round the cylinder. The strip can be secured to the cover by one or more spring attachments (4, ke, and an adjustable spring (7). One or more of the attachment points can slide and be lockable. The strip can have a friction coating (10) on its face against the cylinder.
