Damage monitor for conveyor belt - has oscillator arranged in centre and underneath belt, with receivers at edges to pick up transmitted vibrations

The conveyor belt monitoring device is for detecting damage, esp. slits, in the belt, it has an oscillator which vibrates the conveyor belt. A receiver picks up the vibrations passing through the belt and feeds them to a display. The oscillator is arranged in the centre of the belt on the underside of the belt and the receivers are on the edge of the belt. There can be two systems, each made up of an oscillator, and a receiver, which are arranged in minor image, overlapping on the conveyor belt. The receivers are on opposite sides of the belt.
