Panels are pressed by a spring element against support members borne on the outside ends of a horizontal bar, on the space retainer for panels used in shuttering for concreting. This transverse bar (3) passes through an elastic ring (5) fitting against the inside of the panels (1, 2). At its outer ends are bent support arms (4) which engage in recesses in a pressure plate (6) mounted on the outside of the panels. The transverse bar can be set in diametrally opposing recesses in the ring while its ends have a bent section engaging the pressure plate recesses. This ensures mutual bracing of form panels, even in lost shuttering with protruding parts easily removed afterwards.
