摘要 <p>The random coder uses a clock generator to obtain pairs of samples between the noise source. The time spacings between pairs is constant and differs from the time spacing between the samples comprising each pair. The time spacings are chosen so that they coincide with the zero points of the autocorrelation function describing the noise source. The pairs of samples are passed to a synchroniser that converts the pairs arriving at irregular intervals into a regular sequence of equidistant samples. The clock generator selects groups of samples for conversion into a regular sequence by the synchroniser. These samples are obtained before quantisation. The synchronised samples are used to code different input signals with the aid of the noise source.</p>
