Diazo developing unit based on half-damp process - has ribbed roller to pick up fluid developer and regulator development zone

A developing unit for diazo material uses a wetted roller co-operating with a pressure roller. The developing zone is formed between the rollers. A wetted roller (5), with a ribbed surface of specified hardness and depth, dips into the developer and carries it on the surface under a blade (12) to the development zone where the diazo material (14) is processed between the pressure (4) and development (5) rollers.
