<p>The forked boom for the bottom of the sail of the windsurfer has a demountable construction so that it can be slid into the seam of the sail. The mast end has a hinge (6) flanked by clamping jaws (8, 9) which grip around the mast. The clamping faces of the jaws are concave and serve to grip the mast without any other fittings. The boom is rapidly fitted and removed without any tools. The other of the boom is secured by a bridging element (12) bolted between the forked ends.</p> |
