PURPOSE:To simplify the wiring inside a multilamp fixture by arranging plural discharge lamps in parallel and forming starter circuits between adjacent electrodes of the lamps. CONSTITUTION:Straight-tube discharge lamps L1 and L2 are arranged in parallel, main discharge circuits A1 and A2 are arranged between electrodes a11 and a12 and between electrodes a21 and a22, and glow starters GL1 and GL2 are attanged between adjacent electrodes all and a21 and between adjacent electrodes a12 and a22 to form starter circuits B1 and B2. The main discahrge circuits A1 and A2 are cross-wired so that the polarity is different for the electrodes a11 and a12 on one side and different for the electrodes a12 and a22 on the other side. The starter circuits B1 and B2 are driven by a common power source. Thus the wiring in a multilamp fixture is simplified. |
