A base part bears against an injection-plate and an inner part extends to an injection orifice in a mould cavity. The inner part has a longitudinal bore and is surrounded over its entire length, by a tubular heater. A jacket surrounds the heater from the base part as far as near the injection orifice. The design enables moulding cpd. to be kept at correct moulding temp. until it reaches the mould cavity. It contains no sensitive components liable to cause problems or trouble in operation, and allows prompt resumption of the moulding cycles after stoppages however caused.
