PURPOSE:To improve fluidity of a fluidizing medium and even the temperature inside a furnace by increasing the diffusion angle of a perforated plate with increasing furnace diameter and directing upward the angle of small holes formed in the plate. CONSTITUTION:When the diameter of a funnel-like perforated plate 2 is as small as about 30 cm, a diffusion angle alpha of about 90 deg. ensures good movement of a fluidizing medium. But, when the diameter of the plate 2 is increased, if the angle alpha is kept at 90 deg. the fluidized bed head pressure applies to the lower bed portion in the medium so as to adversely affect the fluidized condition. Therefore, the angle alpha is increased to reduce the difference of pressure head. Increase in furnace diameter reduces the swirling property of jet from small holes 3 formed in the plate 2. Therefore, the angle beta of the holes 3 is directed upward to prevent the reducting of the swirling property. These arramgements even the fluidized condition, stabilize the combustion, and even the temperature inside the furnace 1. |
