The device for the passage of gaseous media, forming part of (e.g.) a room ventilator, is a ceramic plate with capillary passages through it, as in 2650364. The pipe (1)-inlet or outlet-through the room boundary (25) is now continued through the plate, its open inner end facing the (silencing material (14) cover of the box (13) enclosing the plate. There is a double-walled hollow extrusion (20) inset in the other end of this box embodying multiple parallel paths (15, 16) for flow between the plate outlet/inlet chamber (11) and a single (21) or double (21, 22) flow-reversal space.
