<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a building material having improved decorative effect and high strength, by applying a flexible sheet to the back surface of the bottom of the flat channel of a molded article, by forming an uneven pattern on the surface of the sheet through a mold of press molding, and by injecting an expandable resin into the channel, which is expanded. CONSTITUTION:The molded article 7 with a flat channel consisting of a rigid synthetic resin is formed by extrusion. The back surface of the bottom of the channel is previously printed by gravure and offset printing and the transparent nonrigid PVC sheet 10 is laminated on the printed surface. The molded article 7 is put on the bottom force 12 with a flat top surface while the channel of the molded article 7 facing downward and pressed by the top force 14 with the uneven parts 13 heated at not less than 40 deg.C to form an uneven pattern by embossing on the PVC sheet. The PVC sheet 10, previously blended with a surfactant, e.g., a metallic salt, is subjected to hydrophilic treatment simultaneously in heating and pressing. The molded article 7 is turned out to make the channel upward and an expandable polyurethane is injected to the channel and expanded.</p> |
