Glyceride analogues of the formula: <IMAGE> where R1, and R2 represent hydrogen or saturated or unsaturated straight or branched chain acyl radicals of 2-24 carbon atoms, at least one of R1 and R2 being an acyl radical, are useful as antilipemics, antiatherosclerotics, dehydrators of tissue, inhibitors of tumour growth, suppressers of immunity, retardants of platelet aggregation, and antiprostaglandins. They promote in vivo the formation of natural phospholipids. |
