<p>The machine is intended to feed individual sheets of paper from a stack placed on a tilting table. The machine consists of a number of rollers which are motor driven. The axes of the rollers are positioned by a spring so as to maintain an even pressure on the stack of paper. The initial roller feeds the top sheet sideways from the stack. The sheet is then gripped by subsequent rollers and fed into the machine for a further operation to be performed upon it. The exact position of the rollers may be changed as the stack gets lower.</p> |
