A combination of a wastebasket and compressor is provided to compress collected waste to reduce a volume of the waste. A combination of a wastebasket and compressor comprises a cylindrical container(110) having an opening, a cover member(120) mounted on the container so as to open/close the opening and having a gate for waste, and a compressing unit(130) installed on the cover member in an elevating manner in order to compress the waste stored in the container to a predetermined level and thus to reduce a volume of the waste. The compressing unit is designed so that a plurality of compressing pads(135), which are disposed in an annular shape so as to adjust a degree of opening thereof while elevated by elevating frames, compresses the waste filled in the container. |
