<p>Tubes of reinforced synthetic material consisting of bonded coaxial layers, an inner and an outer layer enclosing a zone in which there are solid ribs consolidating the whole laminate, has a first tubular layer built up as normally on a revolving arbor, on which the preformed ribs are fitted. These comprise a solid profile of resin with a reinforcement, in the form of an undulating strip which is spirally wound on to the inner layer at a definite pitch. On these rib windings, endless resin-impregnated threads or bands are wound so as to form a second solid tubular layer, and the finished tube is removed from the arbor.</p> |
