1514724 Blade mounting BROWN BOVERISULZER TURBOMASCHINEN AG 23 May 1975 [27 May 1974] 22580/75 Heading FIT The rotor 3, Fig. 2, of a fluid-flow machine has axial slots 2 in each of which the root 5 of a member such as a blade or spacing piece is retained, axial displacement being prevented by a fastening element which engages a depression 6 normal to slots 2 and a recess 10 in root 5, and being movable from its retaining position to facilitate assembly or dismantling. The fastening element may comprise a key 7" held in recess 10 by a spring 7', circumferential movement of the element being prevented by projections 8. Removal may be effected by inserting a rod through a hole 11 or a groove (not illustrated) in root 5 to flatten spring 7' and disengage key 7" from groove 10, the root subsequently being slid out of slot 2. The rod may have a wedge shaped surface to facilitate removal. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4, the fastening element 7 is a leaf-spring, circumferential movement being prevented by projections 13 which engage grooves 14 and 15 in root 5 and slot 2 respectively. In a third embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), the fastening element comprises an eccentric cam (17) mounted on a pin (18) which may be rotated to bring the cam into engagement with groove 10, and which is maintained in the retaining position by a flat portion (21) on pin (18) engaging the root (5') of an axially adjacent member on the rotor. In a fourth embodiment, Fig. 11, the element is a sliding block 22 with a cross-section the same as that of slot 2 and which may be moved radially outwardly to cause interference with the side walls of slot 2 for retaining the member 1 axially, the block being held in position by a peg. |
