<p>A HUMIDIFIER ASSEMBLY HO CHOW A versatile by-pass humidifier assembly utilizes the flow of air therethrough as a driving force to rotate a fluid carrier subassembly. The fluid carrier subassembly has a unique "drop-in" design enabling its easy removal and replacement, all without the use of tools or fasteners. More particularly, an open-topped reservoir means is slidably received in the housing through an opening in the front section thereof, the reservoir means being accessible at the front of the housing for removal and replacement. The rotatable fluid carrier subassembly is rotatably received in a given position in the housing between the end walls thereof with a portion thereof adapted to contact fluid within the reservoir means via the open top thereof. The reservoir means and the fluid carrier subassembly are each removable from the housing separately from each other. Means are provided for rotating the fluid carrier subassembly through at least 360.degree. and for operatively connecting the rotating means with the fluid carrier subassembly. The gas to be humidified enters the housing through one of the apertures defined by the housing, passes through the fluid carrier subassembly to absorb moisture therefrom, and exits the housing through another aperture defined by the housing.</p> |
