<p>The device for securing a car aerial (6) in position comprises a block (1) of resilient material such as semi-rigid plastics which has an open ended cavity (2) opening into one face of the block and having side walls will turned in lips (5, 5a). The lips (5, 5a) enable the block (1) to be snapped onto the catch drain (7) of a car roof (8). The depth of one side wall (2a) is less than the height of the catch drain to provide a secure fit. The block (1) carries a protrusion (3) formed with a through hole in which the aerial (6) is slotted. The axis of the through hole is angled relative to the cavity (2) to ensure correct orientation of the aerial. The device avoids the problems such as rust evident with metal fastenings.</p> |
