<p>The cable comprises a linearly arranged set of elongate conductors carried by a body of electrically insulating material. The conductors are arranged in two superposed planar arrays, the conductors in each array being parallel and equispaced, and parallel to the conductors of the other array. The spacing between adjacent conductors in each array and the spacing between the two arrays is such that a pair of adjacent conductors in each array together with a pair of adjacent conductors in the other array form a balanced pair arrangement. - The product of the electrical capacitance measured between the pair of adjacent conductors in one array and the electrical capacitance measured between the pair of adjacent conductors in the other array, approaches the product of the electrical capacitance measured between one conductor of the adjacent pair of conductors of one array and the diagonally opposite conductor of the adjacent pair of conductors of the other array, and the electrical capacitance measured between the other two diagonally opposite conductors of the balanced pair arrangement, with none of the conductors being grounded.
