PURPOSE:To provide an electronic watch wherein a limiting circuit for limiting the output of a driving signal generating circuit is provided, and said limiting circuit is controlled directly or indirectly by the output of a voltage discriminating circuit, thereby to protect a battery or prevent the stop of the watch at a time where the inner resistance of the battery increases. CONSTITUTION:The output of a driving signal generating circuit 6 generating signals for driving a buzzer, a lamp or a motor enters a limiting circuit 3, and the output voltage of a time-constant circuit 2 is discriminated by a voltage discriminating circuit 7. When by sounding the buzzer the voltage of the battery is lowered, and break in frequency division or oscillation stop occurs, the output voltage of a time-constant circuit 2 increases logarithmic-functionally at a given time constant, and the outputs of two input AND gates of the control circuit 3 are inhibited by a control signal from the discriminating circuit 7, thus the current flowing through driving transistor 5 and the buzzer 4 being interrupted. |
