<p>Vincamine analogues of formula (I) are new together with their acid-addn. salts as optically active forms or as racemates (where R1 is halo in 10 or 11 position, R2 is OH, R3 is H, or R2 and R3 together form a second bond). Daily adult dose is 3-600 mg depending on the disorder treated. The i.v. LD50 in mice is 47-52 mg/kg. similar to that of vincamine (47 mg/kg). A typical cpd. 10-chloro-16 DELTA-epi-14-vincamine, was prepd. by treating tabersonine in acid methanol with m-chloroperbenzoic acid.</p> |
