APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DRM

A device, a system, and a method for providing DRM(Digital Rights Management) are provided to offer contents packaged by an integrated encoding algorithm and offer the playable DRM contents to a host device having a different DRM by constructing a contents providing system using more than one DRM system. A packaging server(100) generates encoded original and dummy contents by packaging original and dummy contents. A download server(200) downloads the encoded original and dummy contents. A license server(300) generates and issues a license for the encoded original contents. A DRM providing device(400) receives/manages the encoded original and dummy contents, and the license. The DRM providing device includes a contents downloader downloading/managing the encoded original and dummy contents, a license manager receiving the license for the encoded original contents from the license server, and a processor providing the downloaded contents and the issued license to a portable storage device(500). The portable storage device stores the encoded original and dummy contents, and the license by communicating with the DRM providing device.
