Rocket propulsion unit spring action initiator - has support and stop separated from springs for reducing weight

The igniter for a propulsion charge has a leaf spring actuated firing pin. This initiator is ignited by rotating a lever for loading the spring which is subsequently released. The propulsion unit weight is kept low by this design. The support (2) of the iniator (1) is held in a seat. The stop (10) can be separated from the support (2). The engaging position of the free end (9) of the leaf spring holds the support (2) in the seat (15). An aligning arrangement (7) straightens the leaf spring (3) relative to the support (2).
