The protective cover is used by market traders in converting the lorry into a trading stall. The cover is made of waterproof flexible fabric and is fixed to supports on the roof of the lorry. The supports consist of arms arranged like a fan in a horizontal plane. Each arm is fixed to a support which is articulated by vertical pivots to the supports on either side, so that they form an arc when the arms are open but are in line when they are closed.
