The three-position switch has two parallel sets of fixed contacts each having three in-line contacts (18a, c, e; 18b, d, f) forming two pairs of contacts with the central contact common. Two movable ball contacts (22a, 22b) are resiliently mounted in a support (10) which is movable in an L-shaped path (3). In one extreme switch position, one ball (22b) lies in a recess (20) while the other ball (22a) bridges the contacts (18d, 18ff). In its mid position one of the balls (22a) bridges contacts (18c, 18e) and the other ball (22b) bridges the other two contacts (18d, 18f). In its other extreme switch position one ball (22a) bridges a set of contacts (18a, 18c) and the other ball (22b) bridges contacts (18b, 18d). The switch may be used to control independent circuits.
