<p>A method of fixing objects to relatively thin partitions or walls uses a plug (1) with a circular end flange (2). A circular boss (23) projects from the flange (2) and carries two parallel longitudinal ribs (3). Two split flanges (5, 6) have slots which allow them to slide over the ribs. The half flanges are loosely connected to the plug (1) by bolts. This allows the larger half flange (5) to be inclined at an angle to the plug axis so that it can be pushed through a hole in the partition. As the bolts a*e tightened, the half flanges are pressed against the inner surface of the partition and hold the plug firmly in place.</p> |
