The table has one pull-out central leaf, and at least one mobile end leaf, and supports and guides for sliding the central leaf vertically between its folded-down position and its pulled-out position. Supports and guides slide the end leaves horizontally. A drive mechanism comprises locking pieces which operate in one direction with controls so that when the end leaves slide horizontally they cause the central leaf to slide down. Second locking pieces operate in conjunction with the controls causing the central leaf then to go up.
