PURPOSE:In photo-communication, to use a grating half-mirror thereby to increase the number of distribution of luminous beams. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a fiber 2, 1 is collimated by means of a lens 2, 8 of a square refractive index distribution type, and a part of light is reflected and another part is permeated by a grating half mirror disposed at a suitable angle with respect to the central axis of the lens 2.8. The reflected light is distributed by the grating in three components, that is, zero, plus primary, and minus primary reflected diffraction lights, and throttled by lenses 2.9, 2,10 and 2.11 of a square refractive distribution type, arranged at an angle obtained beforehand by the diffraction grating equation by use of value of the propagated light wevelength and the grating interval, and bonded and propagated to the fibers 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4. The permeated light is similarly distributed in three components,and bonded and propagated to the fibers 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7. |
