Locating transmitter attachable to falcons - has jaws of clamp gripping quills of two central feathers of falcons tail

The device for locating a falcon comprises a transmitter powered by silver oxide cells (35, 36) mounted in a cylinder (31). An aerial (4) projects from one end of the cylinder (31) while the other end has a T-piece to which a double clamp (41) is secured. The jaws (51, 52; 53, 54) of the clamp (41) grip the quills of the two central feathers of the falcons tail so that the aerial (4) extends in the flight direction. The receiver used with the transmitter has frequency selection capability to discriminate between transmitters. The useful range is up to 100km. The device enables easy location of pet falcons.
