A telephone directory or a diary is fitted with an additional cover made from transparent plastics. The cover can serve as a convenient place for storing a list of those telephone numbers and addresses which are most frequently used or which may be required in an emergency. The list of telephone numbers and addresses is written on a sheet of paper which is inserted between the main cover and the plastics cover. The information is thus readily accessible and plainly visible.
