Double glazing element - with transparent foil coating inside of outer pane for light and heat insulation (NL 19.10.79)

Double-glazing elements for use as doors and windows consists of two panes of glass which are kept at a sealed distance from each other by a hollow spacer filled with a hygroscopic material to which the internal air space has access. The glass pane which is exposed to the external effects of light and heat or cold is coated on the inside by a transparent foil which protects against extreme light and heat ingress in summer and has satisfactory heat insulation properties in winter. The foil is at the same time well protected against mechanical damage.
