The rotary slide valve has a body or the periphery of the closure valve with a ring-shaped channel to accommodate a seal. This seal has a sealing fitment with an active massive part. The fitment has axial play, and is connected to a fixture component via a thin free fillet. The surface (43) of the active part (38) of the sealing fitment (36), which faces the base (15) of the channel (25), is tapered and works directly in conjunction with a tapered support surface (47). This latter surface is formed from a support ring (37) which locates in the channel (25).
