Crowd safety barrier using upright supports of square tube - has framework of bars pivoted to top of upright

The crowd safety barrier constructed of steel bars and angle iron, as in the main patent, has some of the bars and angle irons replaced by steel tubes of square cross-section. The barrier consists of two uprights (13) of square tube with welded on guide plates (14). A framework consisting of three horizontal bars (1, 3, 10) and two vertical bars (4,5) is pivoted by a bolt (2) attached to the top of one of the uprights. One end of the bottom bar (10) is guided by a pin (16) which can slide in a slot (15) in the guide plate (14).
