<p>Copolymer comprising a major amount of hydrophobic monomer such as acrylic ester, methacrylic acid ester, aromatic vinyl and vinyl cyanide, and a minor amount of hydrophilic monomer such as acrylic acid and methacrylic acid is stably dispersed in water without the aid of emulsifier. The aqueous dispersion of this copolymer is coated on paper to provide a transfer sheet having better affinity to toner particles, compared to plain paper sheet, when used in wet-type and dry-type electrostatic photographies, thereby providing images of high quality. Polyethyleneimine or polyepoxy compounds may be added to the aqueous dispersion to crosslink the copolymer, thus resulting in the improvement of transfer heet characteristics for copying. To be more effective in writing quality, polyacrylamide is added. </p> |
