<p>In an angled-yoke cable twisting machine, with a mechanism to reverse the yoke carrying the strand supply spool, there is an additional mass rotating on the yoke axis for each supply spool. This mass is coupled to rotate against the direction of the spool. A positive guide is provided, meshed in with standing cog wheels, used to couple the two rotating masses so that they rotate in opposite directions, using sprockets driven by a toothed belt. The design gives a compensation for changes in the moment of inertia so that the capacity of the machine can be increased.</p> |
